TING-YU HSU,  PH.D.

Associate Professor, TAIWAN TECH

Ting-Yu Hsu specializes in structural health monitoring (SHM) and earthquake early warning (EEW). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). Dr. Hsu received his BS from National Cheng Kung University, his MS from Taiwan Tech, and his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering - National Taiwan University. He is also a adjunct research fellow in NCREE, where he has already worked for 16 years. He holds registered professional engineer licenses and serves on several professional committees. He was awarded RISUD Visiting Fellowship by the Kwong Wah Education Foundation as invited by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His Seismic Resilience research laboratory mainly applies professional skills & techniques of structural dynamics, artificial intelligence, system identification, and earthquake engineering.
